What Customers Say About The Packing Book: Secrets of the Carry-On Traveler:

I especially found the traveling with children section useful. I'm glad it was from a woman's perspective since sometimes guys just don't get our needs. This is a great book for those who want to travel with less. It has a basic list of what you really need in a diaper bag which I will be using for outings other than travel as well. She gives ways to pack with what you really need, but in a practical way that will let you still look nice. I also really love how she gives you the option of buying all the special packing light gear, but also how packing light will work with what you already have. Has everything from city travel to adventure travel, and even a combo trip. Happy travels.

As a frequent business traveler, this book is really full of great tips. I am planning a 27 day cruise early 2010 and this book will come in quite handy.

I thought we could hardly handle a carry on roller bag for all the moving around we were doing. I gave this to my mom before a two week trip to South America. She thought she needed the kitchen sink. She was fine with one carry on. This helped plan for travel to a wedding and mountain hiking.

I love travelling when I get a chance (which never seems to be often enough it seems) but with longer lines and more restrictions, I tried to find different ways to get where I was going with less things to carry.I did get better, and some friends who travel often gave me some good tips, and mentioned this book, so I picked it up.It is very detailed and makes good sense in order to cut down weight and size. Though some may seem basic, overall there are so many tips that one or two will work for anyone, and being able to review and think about packing helps alot.

I thought this book might have some good insights and tactical tips into packing better, but I'm left disappointed that it is full of long lists, and seems written for the first-time traveler. I am now traveling heavily in a new job, but have found little useful info here.
